Lotta Peppers Vegan Grilled Cheese

One of the hardest parts of going vegan is the cheese, do you agree? There are FANTASTIC substitues, TRUST ME!

Daiya cheese is a vegan cheese I feel in love with at first bite. They are soy-free, casein-free, gluten-free!

Seeing that it is National Grilled Cheese Day I wanted to use this opportunity to create a grilled cheese with one of their unique flavors. The flavor I used for this recipe is the havarti with jalapeño garlic wedge style (behind the jack style package pictured above). This recipe has a lovely fresh kick to it! Enjoy, lovelies!

Lotta Peppers Vegan Grilled Cheese

e.g. These muffins have a crunchy top with a crumbly inside where you taste the subtle hint of lemon.


  • 1 Package daiya havarti style vegan cheese with jalapeño garlic kick (slice up as much as you need)
  • organic red bell pepper (julienne)
  • small organic white onion (julienne)
  • bakery style french or italian bread
  • vegan butter spread (earth balance buttery spread recommended)


Step 1
Butter up one side of each slice of bread, then place them in the saucepan.
Step 2
Place your slices of vegan cheese on the bread and cook open face until your read is getting golden brown.
Step 3
Pile on the pepper and onions and close up the sandwich. Enjoy this DELISH vegan grilled cheese with a fresh kick to it. Serves as many as you want.
