Falafel, please … make it vegan!
Here it is Gorgeous!
1 organic white onion, minced
1/2 cup chopped fresh organic parsley, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh organic cilantro
1 teaspoon salt
4 cloves of garlic
2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon baking powder, aluminum-free
4-6 tablespoons flour or gluten-free with chickpea flour
olive oil for frying
Chop the chickpeas, onions, parsley, cilantro in your food processor. Spoon all ingredients into a mixing bowl. Thoroughly mix in the remaining ingredients.
Heat 1 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry patties in hot oil until brown on both sides. Drain on a flour stack towel.
You can serve this with tahini sauce or vegan cucumber sauce. Mix the following together:
1 (6 ounce) container plain soy yogurt
1/2 cucumber, peeled, seeded, & finely chopped
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon vegan mayonnaise (recommends Follow Your Heart Vegenaise)
