Crazy for Infused Drinks – Lavender Lemonade
On humid days in Charlotte, this is one refreshing twist to a personal favorite.
On top of that, I am becoming obsessed with infusing drinks, oils, and teas. What else can I infuse? This is a supers easy infused drink, here is the recipe. Please have a glass for me!
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers
- 1 Cup organic maple syrup (also can use raw turbinado sugar or coconut sugar)
- 2 Cups boiling water
- 2 Cups cold water
- 1-1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (organic)
|Place lavender in a medium bowl, then pour the maple syrup over the flowers and mix the syrup into the flowers.|
|Pour the boiling water over the lavender mixture. Stir until the syrup has diluted nicely into the water. Cover and infuse for at least 30 minutes to a few hours.|
|Strain the infusion into a pitcher.|
|Stir in the lemon juice and an additional two cups of water with ice. Taste it to adjust if you need more maple syrup or lemon. Add more water if the mixture is too concentrated for you. Garnish with a thinly sliced lemon and enjoy!|
